This is a family favorite, which I started feeding my kids when they were almost a year old.
Blend the following ingredients:
- 1 clove garlic (can add more if not feeding to babies)
- 1 tbsp dulse flakes
- 2 cups sunflower seeds (soaked for at least six hours in water, then rinsed)
- 4 tbsp lemon juice (roughly 2 lemons)
- 1/2 cup water, as needed
Mix in the following ingredients:
- 2 carrots (shredded)
- 1/2 bunch chopped parsley
- 1 green onion onion (thinly sliced)
- 2 stalks chopped celery
Spices
- a dash of black pepper
- additional salt (the dulse flakes add some salt)
- chili powder or cajun seasoning
The pate makes a great filling for greens, such as kale, collards, nori sheets, orĀ lettuce.
